Ducks Ltd.

Ducks Ltd. is an indie pop duo formed in Toronto, Canada, known for their jangly guitar sounds and introspective lyricism that hark back to the '80s post-punk and jangle pop era. The band consists of Tom McGreevy (vocals, guitar, bass) and Evan Lewis (guitar), who craft melodic tunes that intertwine their love for melancholy narratives and upbeat, catchy rhythms. They initially captured attention under the moniker Ducks Unlimited, but later abbreviated the name to Ducks Ltd. to avoid confusion with the waterfowl conservation organization of the same name.

Having been on the music scene since 2019, Ducks Ltd. quickly made waves with their debut EP, "Get Bleak," a release that showcased their ability to meld catchy hooks with thoughtful lyrics. This solid foundation paved the way for projects like "Modern Fiction," their first full-length album, which encapsulates their growth as a band and fine-tunes their upbeat yet wistful sound. Singles like "Hollowed Out" and "18 Cigarettes" from this album have helped cement Ducks Ltd.’s place in the indie music sphere, garnering critical acclaim and a growing fanbase. They have also demonstrated a talent for reinventing tracks by other artists, as featured in their rendition of "In Between Days," originally by The Cure. Ducks Ltd. continues to resonate with audiences through their evocative storytelling meshed with their infectious jangle pop sensibility.
