Ariel Minimal

Ariel Minimal, born Ariel Gustavo Sanzo on June 18, 1970, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a respected singer, guitarist, and producer best known as the frontman of the Argentine rock band Pez. His musical journey started in 1985 with the punk band Descontrol, and he first gained recognition in 1992 with the group Martes Menta. Ariel’s diverse musical style spans rock, punk rock, stoner rock, hard rock, and even jazz and folk rock influences. Over his career, he has been involved in numerous projects, including Los Minimals, a band formed in 1989 that inspired his stage name, and collaborations with bands like Los Fabulosos Cadillacs and La Luz. With Pez alone, he has recorded over twenty albums and continues to be an active and influential figure in the Argentine rock scene.
