Michoel Schnitzler

Michoel Schnitzler was a renowned Chassidic singer, composer, and recording artist celebrated for his soulful Yiddish melodies. Born in Berkeley, California, in 1961, Schnitzler grew up to become a prominent figure in Jewish music, releasing over 15 albums with more than 150 songs. He was known for his energizing performances at weddings and Jewish events, often blending comedic elements with heartfelt compositions. Despite having a background that connected him to significant rabbinical figures, Schnitzler carved out his own path in music, influencing many other artists in the Chassidic music scene.

Schnitzler's impact extended beyond his singing; he was instrumental in introducing new talents to the industry and remained committed to traditional Jewish music, avoiding secular influences. Unfortunately, his life was cut short when he passed away on April 14, 2023, at the age of 61 or 62, due to a heart attack. His legacy continues to resonate deeply within the Jewish music community.
