Truculent

**Truculent is the solo guitar project of Philadelphia-based musician Dan Timlin**, who's been crafting his unique sound since 2016 by blending melodic rhythms with experimental noises, city sounds, and found audio to create immersive protest music, meditations, and personal memoirs laced with anti-fascist, anti-capitalist vibes.

Kicking off with the 2020 release *From the Shadow of the Refinery* on Germany's Turbo Discos label, Timlin evolved the project through albums like *A Worker’s Guide to Transfiguration*, *Caviling The Facts! And Other Mechanisms Of Oppression*, and the expansive 2025 full-length *Born For The Gallows Or The Wheel* via Strange Mono Records—often engineered by Dan Angel and featuring sparse, meaningful vocals amid haunting, King Crimson-inspired layers that bend time, tone, and tuning into politically charged sonic worlds.
