Sunny Gang

Sunny Gang is a dynamic four-man band from Newark, NJ, blending genres like punk, hip-hop, rock, funk, metal, soul, ska, and hardcore to create an energetic sound. Formed in 2012 at Rutgers-Newark, the band consists of Nasty Nate on vocals, Chris Bacchus on guitar, Joe Sap on bass, and Marshal on drums. They initially came together as a backing band for Nate's solo performances but soon developed their unique style, drawing from diverse musical influences. Sunny Gang gained recognition for their lively performances and were featured at AfroPunkFest 2013, which led to further opportunities, including joining the Red Bull Sound Select program.

Their music often reflects a mix of party vibes and aggressive energy, as seen in releases like "1:35," "Godzilla," and "Party/Animal." The band members are also active in their community, with involvement in Rutgers University Newark's music scene and various other projects. Their blend of genres and high-energy live shows have made them a notable act in the Tri-State area, sharing stages with artists like Danny Brown and Trash Talk.
