Alejandro Luzardo is a Uruguayan percussionist and composer who has been active in the music scene for over 40 years. He is best known for his work in the genre of candombe, a traditional Afro-Uruguayan rhythm. Luzardo has performed and recorded with a wide range of artists, including Ruben Rada, Jaime Roos, and Paquito D'Rivera. He is also a respected educator and has taught candombe workshops around the world.
