Burning Bush

Burning Bush is a Jewish music ensemble led by Lucie Skeaping, a British singer, violinist, and rebec player known for exploring traditional Jewish musical roots. The group draws on a rich variety of Jewish musical traditions, including Ashkenazi and Sephardi sounds, and has released albums featuring Yiddish, Klezmer, and Hassidic music along with folksongs from Israel. Burning Bush's work reflects a deep engagement with the musical heritage of the Old Jewish World, blending historical styles with fresh interpretations.

Lucie Skeaping, who founded the band, is also recognized for her work in early music and for presenting BBC Radio 3's Early Music Show. Her background includes performing with pioneering groups and a broad repertoire of historical music, which she channels into Burning Bush's vibrant and authentic Jewish music performances.
