Abhomine is a black/death metal project that casts a shadowy presence within the underground metal scene. The brainchild of Peter Helmkamp, whose notoriety in the genre stems from his work with influential extreme metal bands such as Angelcorpse, Order From Chaos, and Revenge, Abhomine represents a solo foray into an unapologetically raw and visceral sound. While Helmkamp handles the bulk of the instrumental duties and vocals, he enlists the help of guest musicians to further bolster the project's ferocity.

Since its inception, Abhomine has released a series of punishing records that have solidified its reputation among fans of extreme metal. The project's 2016 debut, "Larvae Offal Swine," set the tone with a blistering combination of relentless riffs and scathing lyrical themes. Following up, the 2020 EP "Proselyte Parasite Plague" demonstrated a continued evolution in Abhomine's unyielding approach, while maintaining a gritty and oppressive atmosphere.
