Socalled is a Canadian musician, producer, and DJ known for his unique blend of klezmer, hip-hop, and electronic music. Born Josh Dolgin in Montreal, he began his career in the late 1990s, releasing his debut album "HiphopKlezmer" in 2003. Socalled's music often explores themes of Jewish identity, social justice, and the immigrant experience. He has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including David Byrne, John Zorn, and the Kronos Quartet.
