Monkey Majik is a genre-blending Japanese band fronted by Canadian brothers Maynard and Blaise Plant, who’ve been mixing pop-rock vibes with bilingual lyrics (English/Japanese) since forming in Sendai in 2000. Known for their laid-back yet dynamic sound, the group—rounded out by Japanese members tax (drums) and Dick (bass)—gained fame for hits like "Around the World" and collaborations spanning anime themes, video game tracks (*cough* "Running In The Dark" for *Arknights*), and even viral live sessions like their stripped-down *THE FIRST TAKE* performances. Their name? A playful nod to the '70s cult TV show *Monkey*!
