Hardcore Buddhist is a multi-genre electronic music project led by Igor Morozov, a Ukrainian-born musician now based in the Netherlands. His music blends chill-out, progressive, and breakbeat styles, often incorporating live instruments and psychedelic elements. As a guitar player, Igor has a strong desire to experiment and share his musical ideas, which are deeply influenced by his love for high-quality music and his interest in Buddhism as a philosophy. He has released several albums and EPs, including his recent work "Succulent," which offers a slower, more atmospheric sound compared to his earlier, more dance-oriented tracks. Igor also runs a psytrance side project called Swaratrip, reflecting his diverse musical interests and creative output.
Igor's musical journey began with playing guitar and experimenting with music software, leading to his first official release in 2017. His work is characterized by emotional depth and intricate sound design, often featuring live instruments alongside electronic elements. Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Igor continues to create music, with plans to explore new genres like psybass and ambient music in the future. His music is available on platforms such as Bandcamp and Spotify.
