Laetitia Sheriff

Laetitia Shériff is a French indie rock musician known for her poetic and electric style that blends minimalism with rock energy. Raised in Paris and Lille, she started her career performing solo, initially singing texts by poet William Butler Yeats before moving on to write her own songs. Her debut album, *Codification*, came out in 2004, followed by *Games Over* in 2007 and *Pandemonium, Solace And Stars* in 2014, which featured collaborations with notable musicians and extensive touring in France and beyond. She plays multiple instruments and has a reputation as a key figure in independent French women’s rock, drawing on influences from Neil Young to Nick Cave. Some of her recent releases include the EP *Where's My I.D.?* (2012), *The Anticipation* EP (2015), and the album *Stillness* (2020), showcasing her evolving sound and artistic depth.

Throughout her career, Laetitia has collaborated across genres with artists ranging from jazz saxophonist François Jeanneau to punk icon Lydia Lunch, and electronic producer Robert le Magnifique. Known for her introspective and heartfelt approach, she describes her music as a blend of poetic minimalism and rock, creating a unique emotional resonance that connects deeply with her audiences. Laetitia’s journey reflects a passionate commitment to music as a form of personal relief and expression, and she continues to tour internationally, bringing her art to diverse listeners around the world.
