Cable

**Cable** was a Connecticut-based post-hardcore/math rock band that carved out a niche in the '90s underground scene with their jagged, rhythmically complex sound. Formed in the early '90s, the group—featuring members like Randy Larsen (vocals), Vic Castello (guitar), Matt Becker (bass), and various drummers—blended dissonant riffs, off-kilter time signatures, and sardonic lyrics into a chaotic yet catchy formula. Known for frenetic live shows, they released albums like *Down-Lift the Up-Trodden* (1996) and *When Animals Attack* (1997), earning cult status for their unapologetically abrasive style. Their final album, *Sub-Lingual* (1999), capped off their career before disbanding in the early 2000s. Though short-lived, Cable’s influence lingered, inspiring later bands drawn to their mix of technical precision and raw energy.
