Cold War Kids

Cold War Kids is an American indie rock band that formed in 2004, with the founding members hailing from Long Beach, California. The band's lineup consists of Nathan Willett (vocals, piano, guitar), Matt Maust (bass guitar), David Quon (guitar, backing vocals), Matthew Schwartz (keyboard, backing vocals, guitar, percussion) and Joe Plummer (drums, percussion). They first gained widespread attention with their debut album "Robbers & Cowards" in 2006, thanks to the standout single "Hang Me Up to Dry."

Over the years, Cold War Kids have become known for their soulful, blues-infused rock sound and emotionally charged lyrics, which have won them a dedicated fan base. The group’s trajectory features an impressive discography marked by thoughtful exploration of personal and social themes. Among their most recent work, "New Age Norms 3," released in 2021, continues the series of albums under the "New Age Norms" project that showcases their dynamic blend of storytelling and melody. Whether through evocative tracks like "What You Say" featuring Zella Day or the contemplative "Always," Cold War Kids' music continues to resonate with listeners who appreciate their introspective take on indie rock.
