Marco Frezzato is a renowned cellist known for his extensive work in early music. Born in 1973 in Padua, Italy, he began his musical journey at a young age, studying with prominent musicians like Mario Brunello and Antonio Meneses. Frezzato deepened his knowledge under Gaetano Nasillo at the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milano, graduating with honors in baroque cello in 2003. He collaborates with various distinguished ensembles, including Accademia Bizantina and Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, and has recorded for major labels such as Decca and Harmonia Mundi. His passion extends beyond classical music, as he is also interested in jazz, folk, and rock. Frezzato is a founding member of the AleaEnsemble, a group recognized for its critically acclaimed recordings.
