Josef Rheinberger was a German composer, organist, pianist, and teacher. Born in Liechtenstein in 1839, he studied music in Munich and became a renowned organist and composer. Rheinberger's works include organ sonatas, concertos, chamber music, and choral pieces. He was a highly respected teacher and his students included many notable composers, such as Engelbert Humperdinck and Max Reger. Rheinberger died in Munich in 1901.
