Chris Lam Sam

Chris Lam Sam is one of New Zealand's most beloved musical entertainers for children and families. Born in Auckland and raised in Wellington, he holds a Bachelor of Music in composition from Waikato University and a teaching qualification. Chris is best known as a founder of the musical group The Funky Monkeys, which has performed over 900 shows and released several albums. He has also worked closely with prominent New Zealand institutions, including the NZ Symphony Orchestra, for whom he has recently become the first full-time Music Education Animateur. In addition to his music, Chris is a published author, with his book "Inspector Brunswick: Case of the Missing Eyebrow" gaining recognition with a Storylines Notable Book Award in 2018.

His recent projects include producing albums like "Silly Funny Songs for Kids" and collaborating on environmental storytelling initiatives such as "Let's Love Our Sea."
