Santerias

Santeria is a rock band that originated in Louisiana's Cajun Country in the summer of 1994. The band was formed by lead singer and guitarist Dege Legg, who teamed up with Krishna Kasturi, a drummer from India living in Louisiana, and later added local guitarist Primo and bassist Chad Willis to complete the lineup. Their music is a distinctive blend of hard rock, psychedelia, and world music, infused with a dark and mysterious vibe that reflects the haunting swamplands and bayous of their Southern homeland. Though their sound intentionally sidesteps the regional Zydeco and Cajun folk influences, it carries a raw, powerful energy reminiscent of Led Zeppelin mixed with early punk attitudes. Santeria has built an international fan base through their unique southern-inflected rock & roll style and a strong work ethic that drives their creative output and performances.
