Classics IV is an American pop group best known for their 1968 hit single "Spooky." The band was formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1965 by Dennis Yost (vocals), Buddy Buie (guitar), J.R. Cobb (bass), and Kim Venable (drums). They released their debut album, "Spooky," in 1968, which featured the title track as well as other hits like "Traces" and "Stormy." Classics IV continued to release music throughout the 1970s, but never achieved the same level of success as they did with "Spooky." The band has undergone several lineup changes over the years, but Yost has remained the constant member. Classics IV continues to tour and perform, and their music remains popular with fans of classic pop and rock.
