Junior Parker was an American blues singer, songwriter, and harmonica player. Born Herman Parker Jr. in Mississippi in 1932, he began playing the harmonica at a young age and was influenced by the likes of Sonny Boy Williamson and Little Walter. Parker's career took off in the 1950s when he signed with Sun Records and released his debut single, "Mystery Train." He went on to record several hit songs, including "Next Time You See Me," "Driving Wheel," and "Walking the Back Streets and Crying." Parker's music was characterized by his soulful vocals and his distinctive harmonica playing, and he is considered one of the most influential blues musicians of all time.
