A Constant Storm

A Constant Storm is a musical and artistic project based in Porto, Portugal, formed in late 2013 by Daniel Laureano. The project is known for its diverse and evolving musical style, which has explored genres such as raw atmospheric black metal, abrasive blackened death metal, and ethnically-fueled gothic metal. This versatility is encapsulated in their mantra, "the wilder the better." Early releases include the "Storm Born" EP, which blended raw atmospheric black metal with darkwave elements. In 2016, they released their first full-length album, "Storm Alive," which took a more aggressive path towards blackened death metal. The project has continued to evolve, with notable releases like "Live at Greenhouse" and "Lava Empire," the latter featuring a mix of gothic metal, blackened death metal, and world beat elements.

A Constant Storm's journey has been influenced by Daniel's involvement with other bands, such as Moonshade, which temporarily put the project on hold. Despite these pauses, the group has consistently pushed the boundaries of their sound, making each release unpredictable and exciting. Their music often incorporates philosophical themes and conceptual storytelling, as seen in "Lava Empire," which explores inner conflict and self-identity through a narrative inspired by Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy." This blend of musical experimentation and thematic depth has established A Constant Storm as a unique force in the metal scene.
