Prema

Prema, born in Taiping, Malaysia, is a versatile musician known for her soulful and eclectic sound, blending elements of soul, funk, jazz, and rhythm & blues. She was educated in Australia, where she pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Adelaide. Prema's musical journey began with classical training in piano and violin, but she found her true passion in the guitar, which she started playing at the age of 14. This led to her singing career, which took off as she began busking and performing in pubs. Her debut album, self-titled *Prema*, was released in the late 1990s and received critical acclaim, earning nominations for several awards in Malaysia.

Prema continued to evolve as an artist, eventually moving to England and later working on her second album, *In Fusion*, released in 2009. This album featured collaborations with renowned musicians like Wah Wah Watson and Peter Erskine. Known for her distinctive voice and engaging live performances, Prema has made a lasting impression on both local and international music scenes.
