Karski Quartet is an energetic and passionate string quartet formed in Brussels in 2018, known for their emotionally rich interpretations and warm sound that connects deeply with audiences. The members met while studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and have developed their craft through prestigious programs and mentorship by famous string quartets and musicians. They quickly gained recognition, winning awards like the Grand Prix at the Triomphe de l’Art competition and the Christine and David Anderson Career Development Prize at the Banff International String Quartet Competition.
Their repertoire includes works by classical masters and a keen dedication to highlighting underrepresented composers, such as Grażyna Bacewicz, a pioneering 20th-century Polish female composer. Their upcoming album, set for release in autumn 2025, will showcase Bacewicz’s Fourth String Quartet and Piano Quintet, reflecting the quartet’s commitment to fearless musical storytelling inspired by their namesake, the courageous Polish WWII resistance fighter Jan Karski. The Karski Quartet bridges tradition and modernity, engaging both classical connoisseurs and new generations across the globe with their expressive intensity and artistic excellence.
