Stephane Wrembel

Stephane Wrembel is a French-born guitarist and composer best known for his work in the style of Gypsy jazz, particularly inspired by the legendary Django Reinhardt. An exceptionally versatile musician, Wrembel blends jazz traditions with classical, rock, and world music influences, creating a distinctive sound that's earned him both critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base. He gained wider recognition for composing “Bistro Fada,” the theme song for Woody Allen’s 2011 film Midnight in Paris.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Wrembel has released numerous albums showcasing his virtuosic guitar work and deep musical curiosity. His multi-part Triptych series and Django New Orleans projects explore rich musical landscapes while paying homage to Reinhardt’s legacy. Wrembel also organizes the Django A Gogo music festival, celebrating and expanding upon the Gypsy jazz tradition for contemporary audiences.
