Shoichiro Hokazono is a Japanese euphonium player and composer known for his virtuosic technique and expressive performances. Born in 1977, Hokazono began playing the euphonium at the age of 10 and quickly rose through the ranks, winning numerous competitions and awards. He is a graduate of the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and has studied with some of the world's leading euphonium players.
Hokazono has performed extensively throughout Japan and internationally, both as a soloist and with various ensembles. He is a member of the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra and has also performed with the NHK Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. Hokazono is also a prolific composer and has written numerous works for euphonium and other instruments. His compositions are known for their lyrical melodies, rich harmonies, and technical brilliance.
