Hola Ghost is a dynamic band known for their eclectic blend of genres, including psychobilly, Mexican death-surf, dark disco, and mariachi rock. Formed in 2005 by Peter Sandorff (formerly of Nekromantix and Mad Sin) and long-time friend Jeppe B. Jessen, they initially came together to work on the soundtrack for "Cannibal Flesh Riot," a project that eventually led to the creation of their unique sound. The band's early work was influenced by a haunted drum machine called Ghost 707, which they claimed had a Mexican origin. This machine played a significant role in shaping their distinctive style, which blends musical influences from various cultures with a strong energy and a visual flair that includes bandanas, bullet belts, and sombreros in their live performances.
Over the years, Hola Ghost has expanded to a five-piece band, incorporating trumpets into their lineup and releasing several notable works, including "The Man They Couldn't Hang," "Chupacabra," "Django," "Hate & Fight," and more recent singles like "20 Eyes" and "21 Over - Revenge of The Haunted Horns". Their music is characterized by a fearless mixing of genres, creating a dark Scandinavian mariachi rock sound that has captivated audiences worldwide.
