Chris Higbee kicked off his music journey playing solo gigs in Pittsburgh clubs and bars, soaking up influences from country legends like Garth Brooks and Charlie Daniels, plus rockers Boston and Van Halen, thanks to his siblings. In 2000, he founded the PovertyNeck Hillbillies (PNH) in Dawson, Pennsylvania—named after a spot on his family's farm—where his wild fiddle skills shone, even landing him onstage with Charlie Daniels, and they built a huge international fanbase with three albums and hits like the No. 2 video "Mr. Right Now" starring Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger.
Going solo after PNH's hiatus, Chris kept the loyal "Higbillies" crowd hooked while pulling in new fans with energetic tracks like "Fiddles Rock" (a UK HOTDISC Top 40 hit inspired by his late dad), "Guilty as Charged," and "Barn Party," plus albums such as *Chris Higbee* (2013), *Ready or Not...* (2015), *Superhero* (2018), and recent singles like "Take On Another Day" and "Summer Good." He's still rocking stages across the US and beyond with his gutsy country sound celebrating rural life, tractors, and cold beers.
