Ventis Zilberts is a renowned Latvian pianist born in 1947, who has made significant contributions to Latvian music through both performance and education. He graduated from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian State Conservatoire in 1971 and studied further under Igors Kalniņš. Zilberts is recognized for his dedication to promoting Latvian music, including the works of exiled Latvian composers, which earned him the World Free Latvians Association Music Department Prize in 1995. He has also collaborated with other notable Latvian musicians, such as violist Andra Darzins, with whom he toured the United States in 2015, performing widely and helping to bring Latvian music to international audiences.
