Kamran & Hooman

Kamran & Hooman are an Iranian-Canadian pop duo made up of brothers Kamran Jafari (born 1978) and Hooman Jafari (born 1980), who grew up in Montreal and Vancouver before settling in Los Angeles. They first gained fame as lead singers in the popular Persian pop group Black Cats from 1999 to 2004, contributing to successful albums like *Cinderella* and *The Pop Father*. After leaving Black Cats, they launched a solo career, releasing their acclaimed album *20* in 2003, produced by Ramin Zamani with lyrics from poet Maryam Heydarzadeh.

Known for blending Persian and Western musical influences, Kamran & Hooman have become one of the highest-selling Persian artists globally, with over 10 million units sold of *20* in its first year and a devoted international fanbase. Their music—ranging across pop, R&B, and dance—often focuses on themes of love and youth, resonating especially with younger audiences in Iran and the diaspora. They've continued evolving artistically, recently embarking on their 2024 "Evolution Tour" across North America, solidifying their legacy as pioneers bridging cultures through music.
