Cidadão Instigado is a Brazilian rock band that emerged from the vibrant music scene in Fortaleza, Ceará, in the late 1990s. The band was formed by guitarist and vocalist Fernando Catatau, bassist Régis Damasceno, drummer Clayton Martin, keyboardist Dustan Gallas, and guitarist Rian Batista. Known for their blend of psychedelic rock, baião, and other traditional northeastern Brazilian rhythms, Cidadão Instigado carved a niche for themselves in the Brazilian music landscape with their intricate melodies and introspective lyrics.

Since their eponymous debut in 2002, "Cidadão Instigado," the group has consistently pushed the boundaries of genre and artistic expression. With albums like "Cidadão Instigado e o Método Tufo de Experiências" (2005), "Uhuuu!" (2009), and "Fortaleza" (2015), they built a reputation for crafting narrative-rich music that explores both personal and social themes. Their sound is a tapestry that interweaves electric experimentation with a deeply rooted cultural essence, and their most recent work, "O Ciclo da Dê​.​Cadência" (2020), continues in this tradition, highlighting their ongoing evolution as a band unafraid to experiment while remaining true to their distinctively Northeastern Brazilian roots.
