Vinzenz Praxmarer is an Austrian conductor who has made a name for himself in the world of operetta and light music. Born in Vienna in 1962, Praxmarer studied conducting at the Vienna Conservatory and began his career as a répétiteur at the Vienna State Opera. He has since conducted numerous orchestras around the world, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. Praxmarer is known for his lively and energetic performances, and he has a particular affinity for the music of Johann Strauss Jr. and Franz Lehár.
