Pouya Mahmoodi

Pouya Mahmoodi is a versatile musician known for his work as a songwriter, singer, and guitarist. Born in Tehran, Iran, Mahmoodi's journey into music began early under the influence of his music-loving father, who introduced him to the acoustic guitar at age 10. He developed a strong interest in various guitar styles, including classical and electric, as well as traditional Iranian instruments like the setar. Mahmoodi's experiences span across different cultural settings, as he spent part of his early teens in France, which likely influenced his musical perspective. Notably, he was the lead singer and guitarist for the pioneering Iranian band BARAD.
