Soon E MC, born Jean François Ilunga on June 23, 1970, in Paris's 18th arrondissement, is a French rapper and producer. He is a founding member of the group Posse 501, one of the pioneering acts in French hip-hop. Soon E MC's music blends hip-hop with jazz and soul elements, reflecting his diverse musical influences.
