The Radiators

The Radiators, formed in 1978 in New Orleans, Louisiana, are renowned as one of the most enduring bands of the Crescent City, blending the rich musical influences of their hometown into a potent mix of rock, R&B, funk, and blues. Their music is characterized by their soulful lyrics, catchy guitar riffs, and the vibrant energy that exudes from their live performances. The band—comprised of Ed Volker (keyboards, vocals), Dave Malone (guitar, vocals), Camile Baudoin (guitar), Reggie Scanlan (bass), and Frank Bua (drums)—gained a reputation as "the longest running and most successful rock band in New Orleans," playing together consistently for over three decades before announcing their retirement in 2011.

Despite their 2011 disbandment, the musical legacy of The Radiators Live On through their extensive catalog of recordings and the band occasionally regroups for special performances, much to the delight of their dedicated fan base, affectionately known as "Fishheads." Their discography includes fan favorites like "Law of the Fish" and "Zig Zaggin' Through Ghostland," and their record "Live At The 2023 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival" encapsulates the live energy that is intrinsic to both the band and the vibrant festival scene of their hometown. The Radiators' contribution to the music scene extends beyond their dynamic blend of genres, as they have also become emblematic of the enduring spirit and culture of New Orleans.
