Gina Cigna

Gina Cigna was an Italian soprano who was born in 1900 and died in 1991. She was known for her powerful voice and her dramatic interpretations of opera roles. Cigna made her debut in 1927 and quickly became one of the most sought-after sopranos in the world. She sang at the world's leading opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Cigna retired from singing in 1958 and devoted herself to teaching. She died in 1991 at the age of 91.
