**Edna's Goldfish** was a spirited ska-punk band hailing from Long Island, New York, who made waves in the late '90s as part of the era’s third-wave ska revival. Known for their catchy horns, upbeat rhythms, and punk-influenced energy, the band dropped their debut EP, *Before You Knew Better...*, in 1996, followed by their full-length album *The Elements of Transition* in 1998 via Moon Ska Records—a label synonymous with the ska scene at the time. With Sagé Blanke (vocals) and Matt Goldpaugh (bass) at the core, their sound blended cheeky lyrics with danceable grooves, earning them a loyal following in the Northeast ska circuit. Though they called it quits in 2000, Edna’s Goldfish briefly reunited years later for nostalgia-fueled shows, reminding fans why their music still feels like a sunny day at a basement show.
