Supreme Team

Supreme Team was a South Korean hip-hop duo consisting of Simon Dominic (Sim Jin-su) and E-Sens (Kang Min-ho). They emerged onto the music scene in 2009, winning immediate acclaim and a host of awards, including Best New Male Group at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Their refreshing and eclectic sound blended authentic hip-hop beats with the evolving K-pop style, helping to broaden the genre within the South Korean music industry.

Over the years, Supreme Team released several successful albums and hit tracks that showcased their lyrical prowess and musical versatility. "Thanks 4 the Wait" served as an appetizer for fans during a period of eager anticipation, while "Hommage to Quincy Jones" highlighted their ability to respect and incorporate the work of legendary figures in the music industry into their own style. Other notable works include "Ames Room," which perhaps played with the idea of perspective and space in music, and "Why," which likely raised questions either personal or societal through their lyrical narratives. "Spin Off (Repackage)" suggests a renewed or reimagined take on previous works, while "Supremier" solidifies their status within the Korean hip-hop scene. Their final release, "Supreme Team Guide to Excellent Adventure," potentially delivers a mixtape vibe, a culmination of their journey filled with experimental sounds and storytelling that aimed to cement their legacy in the industry. Despite their eventual disbandment, Supreme Team left a lasting imprint on the Korean hip-hop landscape.
