The Orions

The Orions are a surf band known for their unique blend of instrumental surf and noise-punk influences. Based in Tel Aviv, the band members David Miretski, Itai Alzaradel, Guy Offenbach, and Idan Ezra form the lineup. They draw inspiration from the surf revival scene but also bring an energetic attitude from their backgrounds in punk rock and hardcore music. The band released their debut EP, 'Fresh And Clean,' on Burger Records, which quickly gained attention. Their music is characterized by experimental creativity, setting them apart from typical surf bands.

Their formation stemmed from David and Itai's long-standing friendship and shared musical experiences, including playing in hardcore bands like Brutal Assault. The Orions have been part of a growing surf and garage scene in Israel, contributing to the local music scene with their distinctive sound. Notable releases include EPs like 'Fresh And Clean' and songs such as 'Wray of Light / Sun Syrup' and 'Lightning Stroke Twice.' They are associated with venues like Koro, where they contribute to the underground and independent music environment.
