Mathieu Gaudet

Mathieu Gaudet is a versatile and passionate pianist, known for his remarkable career spanning over twenty years as a soloist, chamber musician, and conductor. Born in New Brunswick and raised in Eastern Canada, he studied piano extensively in both Canada and the United States, including at the prestigious Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University and Université de Montréal, where he earned a Doctorate of Music in Performance. Gaudet has won several notable awards, including top prizes at the Glenn Gould School Competition and Harrison Winters Competition, and was praised by renowned pianist Jean-Philippe Collard for his musical honesty and conviction.

His repertoire also includes works by Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Schumann. He performs internationally across Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Asia, with his concerts regularly broadcast on CBC radio. Beyond music, he has also been involved in medicine and volunteer work in Africa and Northern Canada.
