Amilton Godoy is a Brazilian piano legend and founding member of the iconic Zimbo Trio, one of Brazil's most influential instrumental groups since their 1964 formation. As the trio's pianist and arranger, he helped define Brazil's instrumental music scene through their sophisticated blend of bossa nova, jazz, and Brazilian rhythms, becoming house musicians for TV Record and collaborators with greats like Elis Regina. Beyond the trio, Godoy shines as a solo artist celebrating Brazilian composers through albums like his *Piano Solo, Compositores Brasileiros* series and homages to collaborators like Léa Freire.
