Alexander Liebreich

Alexander Liebreich is a renowned German conductor born on March 25, 1968, in Regensburg, Germany. He began his conducting career at the age of 17 with the Regensburger Kammerchor and later studied Roman languages, musicology, voice, and conducting. Liebreich gained significant recognition as the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Munich Chamber Orchestra from 2006 to 2016, where he led the ensemble to numerous acclaimed performances and recordings. He has also held positions such as Artistic Director of the Katowice Kultura Natura Festival and the Tongyeong International Music Festival in South Korea. Liebreich is known for his charismatic interpretations and collaborations with prestigious orchestras worldwide, including the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), with whom he has won several awards, including an International Classical Music Award.

Liebreich's conducting style is influenced by maestros like Claudio Abbado and Nikolaus Harnoncourt. He has performed with distinguished soloists and has been recognized for his innovative programming and unique sound. In recent years, he has taken on roles such as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and Artistic Director of the Richard Strauss Festival in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
