Raphael Vanoli is an Amsterdam-based guitarist, bassist, composer, and improviser known for his versatile and experimental approach to music. He studied jazz and classical guitar at the Conservatory of Amsterdam from 1999 to 2007, under the guidance of Maarten van der Grinten, Lydia Kennedy, and Jack Pisters. He has performed extensively across Europe, Russia, and Brazil, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with various bands and musicians.
Some of his notable projects include the experimental post-rock duo KNALPOT and the space-dub band STOLPERNOVA. Vanoli has also collaborated with numerous other artists and ensembles, including Jameszoo, Zuco103, and the Spinifex Orchestra. Additionally, he has worked on contemporary classical music and film scores, further demonstrating his diverse musical talents.
