Lucia Cadotsch

Lucia Cadotsch is a Swiss vocalist, lyricist, and songwriter based in Berlin. Born on February 23, 1984, in Zurich, she received early training in vocals and classical piano. Cadotsch studied jazz singing at the Berlin University of the Arts and the Rytmisk Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, which helped her develop a versatile vocal style. She is renowned for her work in several collaborative bands, including the chamber trio **Speak Low** with Petter Eldh and Otis Sandsjö, **LIUN + The Science Fiction Band** with Wanja Slavin, and the quartet **AKI** featuring Kit Downes, Phil Donkin, and James Maddren. Her music spans a wide range of genres, from jazz to synthpop, and she has released ten albums since 2009. Cadotsch has received several prestigious awards, including the Swiss Music Price in 2023, the German Jazz Award in 2021, the ECHO Jazz Award in 2017, and the New German Jazz Award in 2012.
