İklim Tamkan

İklim Tamkan is a renowned Turkish pianist and composer, born in Izmir. She began her musical journey at the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and later studied abroad in Vienna and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, focusing on piano solo, piano pedagogy, and harpsichord solo. Tamkan has performed in numerous international festivals and concerts across Europe, showcasing her versatility in classical music, particularly on the harpsichord and piano. She is also known for her collaborations, including a notable project with mezzo-soprano Senem Demircioglu, and for premiering Fazıl Say's composition "Goldberg in Istanbul, Op. 94," which was dedicated to her.

Beyond her classical performances, İklim Tamkan is committed to integrating traditional and folk elements into her music, often collaborating with minority communities to promote cultural heritage. She also composes music for films, documentaries, and theater productions, demonstrating her diverse artistic talents. Her recent releases include compositions like "Goldberg in Istanbul, Op. 94" and "Uçurtma," showcasing her ability to blend classical and folk influences.
