Solon Holt is a **country and Americana singer-songwriter** from the Piney Woods of East Texas who's bringing a soulful, genre-blending sound to Nashville's music scene. Growing up as the youngest of four boys in a musically rich family—with his mother a classical pianist and his father a blues musician—Solon was exposed to everything from classical and jazz to bluegrass and folk. But it was his time as a teenager playing gospel music every Sunday at People's Missionary Baptist Church that really shaped his distinctive sound, giving it that deep, soulful spirit that defines his music today.
After catching the attention of a major record label during his freshman year at the University of Mississippi, Solon made the bold move to Nashville in the summer following his first year to focus on writing and developing his craft. Now signed to Universal Music Publishing Group, he's been writing alongside some of Nashville's top songwriters and has released several singles including "Right Where I Belong," "Make Me Wonder," "Good Does It Do," and "East Texas and You." He's also opened for country artist Megan Moroney on multiple tour dates, proving he's got the chops and the charisma to command a stage.
