Mike Kerr is one half of the British indie rock duo Royal Blood. Born in Worthing, England, in 1989, Kerr began playing guitar at a young age and formed Royal Blood with drummer Ben Thatcher in 2013. The band's raw, stripped-down sound, featuring Kerr's fuzzed-out bass guitar and Thatcher's thunderous drums, quickly gained them a cult following. Their debut album, "Royal Blood," was released in 2014 and topped the UK charts, earning them a Mercury Prize nomination. Kerr's distinctive bass playing style, which incorporates elements of rock, funk, and soul, has become a defining characteristic of Royal Blood's music.
