Barbara Heindlmeier is a German recorder player and baroque violinist. She studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. She has performed with many leading early music ensembles, including the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Freiburger Barockorchester, and the Concerto Köln. She is also a member of the recorder quartet Die Kölner Blockflöten.
Heindlmeier is known for her virtuosic playing and her deep understanding of baroque music. She has recorded numerous albums, including "Storie di Napoli" (2019), "Playford: Divisions on ''Pudding and Pies or Greensleeves''" (2018), and "Schultzen: Recorder Sonatas" (2017). She is also a passionate educator and has given masterclasses and workshops around the world.
