Steven Sloane

Steven Sloane is an American-Israeli conductor renowned for his creative vision and artistic achievements. Born in Los Angeles, California, Sloane developed an interest in conducting at a young age and studied music at the University of California, Los Angeles. He further honed his skills under notable conductors such as Eugene Ormandy, Franco Ferrara, and Gary Bertini. Sloane's career spans multiple continents, with significant roles including Music Director of the Bochum Symphony Orchestra from 1994 to 2021, transforming it into one of Germany's leading orchestras. He also served as Music Director of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra from 2019 to 2023 and has been associated with prestigious orchestras worldwide, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the San Francisco Symphony.
