Ana Prada

Ana Prada is a Uruguayan singer-songwriter and psychologist, born on May 1, 1971, in Paysandú, Uruguay. She began her musical journey at the age of 18, moving to Montevideo to study music and psychology. Prada's career includes collaborations with notable artists like Rubén Rada and Jorge Drexler, her cousins, as well as her involvement in the group "La Caldera" and the vocal quartet "La Otra." Her solo career took off with the 2006 album *Soy Sola*, followed by *Soy Pecadora* in 2009 and *Soy Otra* in 2013. Her music combines folk and milonga influences with contemporary urban elements, often focusing on themes of solitude, love, and death.

Ana Prada's recent work has continued to explore her unique style, blending traditional Uruguayan music with modern sounds. While there is limited information on her very recent releases like *Dulces Pecadoras* and collaborative projects, her legacy as a face of modern Uruguayan folk music remains strong. Her music is known for its emotional depth and poetic lyrics, which resonate deeply with listeners.
