DJ Magic Mike (born Michael Hampton) is an Orlando-based DJ and producer who’s been dropping bass-heavy beats since the late ’80s. Known as a pioneer of Miami bass and breakbeat, he carved his name into the electronic scene with raw, booty-shaking tracks and a knack for crafting speaker-rattling low-end grooves. Starting his career with the iconic Magic Music Recordings label, he became a staple in the Southern bass scene, blending hip-hop, electro, and freestyle into his signature sound. His music often features playful samples, punchy drum machines, and that unmistakable “808 kick” that defined an era.

Though he rose to fame in the ’90s with hits like “Feel the Bass,” DJ Magic Mike hasn’t slowed down, as shown by 2020’s “Drop The Bass” and recent remix packs like “Ain’t Nobody (The Remixes).” His tracks, including “Booty On The Ground” and “Watch Me Bust,” keep the party focused on the dancefloor, proving that his gritty, energetic style still slaps decades later.
